Yesterday was another day full of hard working helpers, sweat, sandwiches, and connection. George and Zeina made the plywood wall where the stage was, while Mario, Mary, Deborah, Shiila, BethAnn, Ron and Jim filled several truck loads of scrap wood for the dump and the burn pile. Gayle brought lunch and Carole and BJ ran classes at the studio all morning. It's amazing how fast things are moving.
We've kept all the best wood for reuse in the church as the first priority, but there are going to be scraps for garden builders and other re-cyclers - we'll let you know when to come collect them.
The priority continues to be moving the pews out to make the floor available. Pew buyers - come get them today between 9 - 2 if possible. We will help you move them out! Then, grinding the bolts off the floor and cleaning the sanctuary.
Still intending class indoors on Friday!
“It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community - a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the Earth.”
